Position Summary

NYU’s Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Dean in MBA and Graduate Programs. Working In tandem with the Vice Dean, the Associate Dean will direct strategic planning and leadership efforts to enhance the student experience across all MBA and Graduate programs at the Stern School. They will also serve as 'Dean of Students' to address and advocate for the needs and concerns of MBA and Graduate students and serve as the primary person to whom students can appeal decisions. The Associate Dean will serve as the architect of the culture for MBA programs. They will develop a vision for the culture at Stern; and create and lead the implementation of a strategy to shape and improve the culture across all programs. They will serve as a strategic advisor to student leaders and collaborate with colleagues to create leadership development training. The Associate Dean will lead the operations and activities of Student Activities across MBA programs and lead teams across functional areas focused on the holistic student experience, from pre-prospect to alumni on a program-specific basis.

Qualifications

The selected candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (MBA or master’s degree preferred) and 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in student services, relationship management, operations management, professional services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent planning, networking, relationship management, strategic thinking, conflict resolution, and verbal and written communication skills are required. The ability to develop and launch new educational initiatives and work effectively with faculty, students, and administrators is also essential. Knowledge of the educational needs of graduate business students is preferred.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $165,000 to USD $215,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
