Insight Global is searching for a Backend Software Engineer for one of our Crypto centered tech clients. As an engineer on the team, youll architect and solve complex problems that will directly influence the direction of the credit card space. There's a wide range of challenges to tackle from ensuring the secure handling of millions of dollars worth of customer transactions, to developing innovative new credit card features, to optimizing our API response times to enhance the customer experience. We have a strong culture of code reviews, and a focus on security, with the end goal of writing and shipping high-quality code by getting things right the first time. As we scale and grow our business, we are committed to building the best credit card products in the industry. If you get excited about solving technical challenges that directly impact our customers you would be a great fit for this role! Based out of NYC or Seattle with 2 days a week onsite.

Skills and Requirements

- 3+ years of Software engineering experience within a Start Up, digital product or financial environment

- Experience with using Scala or C++ (preferred) or Java for backend development on consumer facing platforms D2C Frontend: Typescript

- Experience running full SDLC from understanding business needs, facilitate and develop process workflows, data requirements, and specifications required to support implementation of our real time exchange.

- Work along side engineers within our AWS environment for the future state of our exchange and contribute towards improving the trading infrastructure.

- Use engineering principles to identify and measure risk and to implement quantitative and technical risk management solutions in software

- Write robust code and APIs to support the companys vital business.

- Effective communication skills to work as a team sharing the health and viability of the platform and reporting known issues as they arise Experience working with or being a power user of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and/or blockchain technology.

 Work experience or knowledge of the finance industry, payments, trading and/or exchange systems. null
