Our client, is seeking a COBOL Programmers to join their team.

Job Description

Our client seeks to add COBOL Programmers to its existing mainframe programming team.

These consultants will deliver advanced-level application programming on multi-platform mainframe/web-based applications.

Must have

• Strong COBOL Programming

• CICS

• VSAM

• JCL

Preferred additional skills:

• DB2 and RACF

What’s Needed?

REQUIRED SKILLS

Extensive COBOL programming skills

Deep experience with CICS

Solid DB2 experience

Solid knowledge of RACF

Strong experience with JCL coding in a z/OS environment

Experience with TSO/ISPF and ISPW

IDMS experience is highly preferred

Knowledge of advanced debugging tools

Experience in project life cycle phases including analysis, design, programming and implementation

Experience performing system impact analysis and prepare detailed system design deliverables

Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision

Advanced interpersonal skills

Experience with middleware programming is preferred

REXX is preferred

EASYTREIVE is preferred
