About The Role:

As a CBRE Fire & Security Warden, you will work with management to help plan and coordinate the fire safety operations of a small to medium-sized property.

This job is part of the Security and Fire job function. They are responsible for the physical security and fire safety of the organization or other tangible assets.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure all fire prevention, safety, and security policies and procedures are being followed. Remain up to date on pre-fire plans.

  • Assist with parking operations, including issuing parking decals, permits, and citations.

  • Control access to buildings and monitor activities of visitors.

  • Communicate with the Property Manager regarding events, incidents, and concerns. Make suggestions for future situations.

  • Review the equipment inventories for accuracy.

  • Provide safety information and demonstrations on how to perform certain work tasks to employees.

  • Test all installed fire and life safety systems regularly to make sure they work in an effective and efficient manner. Provide criteria on the number or type of fire extinguishers needed in each area.

  • Recognize and tackle typical and atypical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval.

  • Evaluate and select solutions from established options.

  • Impact team through the quality of the services or information provided.

  • Follow standardized procedures and practices and receive regular but moderate supervision and guidance.

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience.

  • An established understanding of work routines and standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems are required.

  • New York Security Guard License

  • FDNY F89 Fire and Safety Director License

  • Requires intermediate problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options without supervisory approval.

  • Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive mentality.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary for the Fire & Security Warden position is $60,756.80 annually [or $29.21 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
