Roc Nation, a Live Nation joint venture, is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist, Sports. As a member of the Roc Nation Digital team, the Digital Marketing Specialist will support the Sports Digital team in fulfilling digital priorities for both the collective client portfolio and owned & operated channels. This includes content development, strategic digital plans, social media copywriting and publishing, creative marketing, and operational responsibilities. The candidate must have a genuine passion for sports, social media/marketing skills, an ability to form strong internal and external relationships, and a knack for storytelling and industry trends. The ideal candidate combines strong initiative with accountability and a desire to challenge the status quo.
Content Support: assist digital staff to monitor, produce, and publish original content for both athlete and company-owned platforms
Digital Property Management: serve as the day-to-day overseer of client intellectual property, RocNation.com, content management system, budgets, contracts, and more
Content Management: Proactively map athlete and Roc Nation initiatives in their respective calendars/trackers and manage communication to the team
Reporting & Analysis: Collaborate with data team on digital analysis & reporting of client and company initiatives
Community Management: Monitor pop culture, industry trends, memes, moments, etc. to translate insights into opportunities for the digital team. Engage with and oversee activity of our clients digitally.
Collaboration: Contribute to creative and storytelling efforts customized to each client, participate in brainstorms and manage notes/responsibilities on behalf of the team
Industry Innovation: Maintain a current knowledge of industry specific technologies and actively scout new digital partners & opportunities to improve
Brand Partner Fulfillment: Collaborate with Partnership marketing to track and assist with managing client brand obligations
Digital Marketing: Grow athlete awareness, traffic and social following/engagement through in-depth understanding of each client, creative storytelling, and optimizations
Operations: Support digital staff with select administrative functions related to travel
Bachelor’s Degree is required
A minimum of 1-3 years of combined work experience in creative marketing, digital content and/or social media
In-depth understanding of social media platforms, content creation, industry trends and new technologies
Extensive knowledge of and passion for sports
Excellent copywriting skills; ability to write under pressure in a client-facing capacity
Track record building and maintaining strong interpersonal and business relationships
Experience in online community management, social publishing & campaign management
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
The drive to take initiative, work independently and be accountable while also working as a team player who is collaborative, positive and flexible
