We are currently seeking a Director of Business Development to create sustainable, profitable partnerships across multiple brand categories. This person will be responsible for generating new business leads, responding to RFPs and closing new business opportunities.
Proactively identify and pursue opportunities with brands and properties
Qualify and manage inbound opportunities from new and existing clients
Handle all steps in the sales process, from prospecting and relationship building to the management of RFPs and closing business
Work closely with other cross-functional teams (creative, talent, media) to manage deliverables when creating custom proposals
Succinctly communicate to all teams the specifics of a client ask, the keys to success, and any other guidelines that will set internal teams up to win
Negotiate contracts and expansion opportunities
Close deals. Meet or exceed annual revenue goals
6-8 years of experience with at least 4-6 years working in a business development capacity for an ad agency and/or influencer marketing company
Deep understanding of modern marketing – specifically social media, influencer marketing & branded content
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including Keynote experience)
Ability to pitch strategic insights and creative ideas effectively
Must be self-motivated, driven and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Adapts to different personalities and comfortable in a dynamic environment
Experience carrying a $3MM+ Annual Recurring Revenue book of business
Book of existing contacts at prospective clients preferred
Base salary range: $130,000 – $150,000 plus bonus potential if applicable for role. Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role.
