Director, Network Engineering
IT-Technical-On site 4 days per week

Overview:
The Director, Network Engineering is responsible for all aspects of an organization’s network systems including software and hardware. In this role the Director recommends, implements, and maintains network architectures (LAN, WAN and Wireless). The Director of Network Engineering manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Develops and insures compliance with HSS Information Management Standards and activities including strategic planning, data security, data uniformity, training, data transmission, knowledge-based information sources, and comparative performance data.
Collaborates with vendors toward process improvement initiatives , project outcome achievement and other related mutual
Observes and respects the privacy and confidentiality of
Complies with policies and procedures concerning infection control and safety in order to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Promotes a professional atmosphere through courteous communication, cooperation, and respect for patients, visitors and members of the health care team.
Responds to customer requests by meeting with customers, clarifying requests, and assisting with necessary preparation of project descriptions, plans, and implementations.
Determines and documents space, equipment, staffing, supply and service
Maintains department facilities and equipment in good working order to promote efficiency and safety of
Selects, trains, orients and assigns Staff (either directly or through subordinate supervisors). Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions.
Follows department policies and Develops department goals and objectives.
Evaluates equipment and computer applications capabilities and recommends equipment, hardware, software and network acquisitions to meet the needs of the institution.
Designs and implements communication structures that ensure knowledge transfer and coordination of activities and functions among other functional areas.
Directs the analytical and technical planning for client, storage, and server systems implementation and related projects, as necessary, to meet the needs of the hospital, patients and clinical users.
Manages client/server and related technology implementation project and Integration projects, including, business evaluations, cost justifications, feasibility studies, budget management, functional and organizational needs analysis, production support, and
Manages the relationship with vendors supporting HSS Updates vendor escalation information on a quarterly time frame. Holds BI-Yearly vendor roadmap meetings to ensure HSS Infrastructure is using the supported technology.
Attends technology seminars and vendor events to stay current on technology trends and
Provides quarterly technology roadmap that align with Capital and Operational
Manages staff and technology to improve the client experience using technology, this includes resolving any issues related to client experience using technology.
Coordinates a training program with staff members to assist with increasing knowledge of technology and resolving client issues using
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Masters degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering. (Preferred)
Experience:
5-7 years of Managerial Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service orientation

Pay Range - Minimum
USD $180,000.00/Yr.
Pay Range - Maximum
USD $220,000.00/Yr.
