One or more of the following credentials or certifications is required: CPA License, Level 3 of the CFA, JD, PhD, MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Tax, Quantitative Statistics, Financial Engineering, Economics, Real Estate Finance or Hospitality A State Certified Appraiser License, Member of Appraisal Institute (MAI), Member of American Society of Appraisers (ASA) or achieve certification of CRE, CRI and/or CCIM, CHA, or PMP

Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Real Estate operations, finance concepts and terminology, and/or specialized transaction services including:

  • Real Estate Market transaction and/or market participant data analysis;

  • Cost, market, and income valuation methods, including discounted cash flow models;

  • Real Estate transactions consulting, including finance and financial reporting facets and implications;

  • Public and private REITs, investment funds, and corporate clients; and,

  • Mortgage debt, CMBS, and/or other Real Estate related financial instruments valuation, regulatory and/or transactional experience.

Demonstrates in-depth abilities to conduct research and perform analyses of pertinent real estate-related client, industry, and financial, accounting, and/or regulatory technical matters that include:

  • Utilizing problem-solving skills and various software packages i.e. Microsoft Office and Argus DCF/Enterprise to perform and/or deliver the following results;

  • Collecting, synthesizing and analyzing of real estate market data across property types on a domestic and foreign basis;

  • Analyzing of historical property operating statement, and implications on value and forecasts; and,

  • Reviewing and preparing of real estate, and real estate related instruments valuation analyses using the three acceptable methods of valuation cost, market, and income approach, including discounted cash flow models; and,

  • Performing of analyses involving real estate property and debt, or CMBS instruments for transaction analysis.

Demonstrates in-depth abilities with, and/or a proven record of success managing efforts as a team leader, which involves the following areas:

  • Analyzing real estate related transactions, including advisory services, due diligence, business combinations and sales related transactions for financial, accounting, valuation, and/or compliance related deliverables

  • Building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement;

  • Communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, collection; and, preparing or coordinating complex written and verbal materials; and,

  • Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust and seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; answering questions and providing direction to less-experienced staff; coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.

The salary range for this position is: $105,400 - $325,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
