Citigroup Financial Risk Technology PMO Lead in New York, New York
Financial Risk Technology is a front-to-back technology team, part of Markets Technology, developing leading edge technology solutions. We are looking for a PMO or Program/Portfolio Management Lead to join the team.
In this fast-paced environment, you must be able to prioritize tasks, work within deadlines, taking a pragmatic and considered approach, paying close attention to details, you will need to employ strong oral and written communication skills. Coaching, Mentoring and leading a team of PMO to deliver on tight deadlines. This role includes taking an active part in delivery itself as well. Documentation preparation & review, strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall/Traditional, Agile & Hybrid) required.
Responsibilities:
Establish best practices and Citi approved PPM procedures at organization/Business unit level
Lead a team of PM’s & PMOs to ensure delivery of projects in accordance with Citi’s SDLC procedures which include many regulatory and compliance mandates.
Write/review project documentation and ensure that project/program administration related tasks are done
Oversee project/program coordination for several areas within the Financial Risk Tech/Markets Tech program/project portfolio
Assist technology leads and project managers in managing a large portfolio of programs and projects
Managing several project metrics – Gantt / burn charts and associated KPIs periodically
Enforce a culture of SDLC best practices across the technology group
Maintain existing departmental and Project Office policies and procedures
Continue to update and improve project methodologies, provide mentoring and training to other PM’s and act as an SME
Organize and facilitate closure of project and complete benefit analysis at the end of the project
Liaise with a range of teams from COO, Technology Central Business Office, Technology Leads, and Management Office team, providing insightful financial and business analyses and developing senior management reports, to define and track key operational/program metrics and to help drive business decisions to achieve goals
Utilize proficient Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills to provide effective reporting and documentation including dashboards, scorecards and analysis of KPI's.
Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to effectively communicate issues, risks and progress on complex processes to multiple stakeholders
Self-initiate, work productively when unsupervised and multitask across multiple concurrent projects
Has the confidence and ability to convincingly structure, summaries, defend and present recommendation
Qualifications:
10+ years of overall experience, out of which at least 6 years must be within a large enterprise IT PMO environment in a people/team management role. Banking/Financial services experience preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience preferably in STEM subjects
PMP certified or equivalent certification e.g. SAFe Agilist Certification etc.
