Lead Analyst, Investment Trade Settlements

The Lead Analyst, Investment Trade Settlements job contributes to operational activities for the investment function, supporting the management of capital on behalf of pensions, endowments, corporate plan sponsors, and other institutional investors. Working independently under general supervision, this job is responsible for performing operational processes pertinent to trade settlements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Executes, processes, and reviews trade transactions, ensuring compliance with the organization's regulatory policies, procedures and standards.

  • Ensures all trade activity is confirmed and/or settled with counterparties.

  • Resolves any trade settlement issues in a timely manner.

  • Manages maintenance of transaction records and documents and creates an archival system for easy retrieval.

  • Maintains additional compliance documentation to help ensure compliance with investment restrictions, laws, Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), and tax codes.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of Collateral Management day-to-day including direct handling and vendor oversight for margin calls, escalations, dispute resolution, daily asset segregation, reconciliations, excess collateral balances and reporting for derivatives and leverage

  • Work stream lead for collateral and derivative operations for strategic projects demonstrating subject matter expertise while providing requirements and testing for successful implementations Â

  • Assist with setup and communication for new fund launches and products including cross functional and external coordination with custodians, fund administrators, and other interested parties

  • Trains staff and provides guidance on complex workflows

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of financial services industry experience

  • 2 or more years of asset management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General understanding of various investment management products (Pension funds, Mutual funds, Separate accts) and trade lifecycle

  • Knowledge in Excel including macros, V lookups, pivot tables and other advanced skills

  • Effective communication skills to facilitate deadlines.Â

  • Ability to address difficult issues and work under pressure in high stress environments

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to understand complex workflows

  • Good understanding of operational risks and controls

Potential Salary: $105,300.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
