About this role : As the Manager, Social Media Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing innovative social-first marketing strategies that resonate with our clients. This role will be responsible for planning content & copy across all organic social media channels (including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) for the brand and its two founders, building out weekly content calendars, developing 360 social support plans for launches/activations, identifying social trends, owning social reporting and analytics, and managing our Social + Community Associate. We are seeking a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the social marketing landscape, has strong communication skills, and a passion for wellness and beauty.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Social Strategy: Own the social calendar, navigating between quarterly concept planning and weekly calendar creation and delivery. Build and evolve our Social Media strategy across all existing social channels, while keeping an eye on new, emerging platforms and social media. 

  • Organic Social Media: Execute delivery of best-in-class organic social media and influencer/creator content across channels (Focus: IG, TikTok, YouTube) in alignment with marketing priorities for Sakara’s brand channel, and our founders’ personal channels. Supervise our Social Media Associate to ensure content is posted on time.

  • Briefing: Brief in all content needs for graphic designer, in-house creator or outsourced to our creator community

  • Brand & Creative: Work closely with Creative Director & Marketing Manager to proactively ideate, create, edit and implement social media campaigns to align with communication and marketing initiatives across channels. Influence seasonal briefs and campaign launches to ensure social media first content is concepted at the beginning of the season. Partner with the creative team to ensure content is on brand (look & feel and tone of voice), platform-appropriate and brand-building.

  • Community Management: Monitor all social media platforms to stay informed about community sentiment, trends, and discussions.  Supervise our Social Media Associate to ensure who oversees the day-to-day execution of existing social channels.

  • Community Collaboration: Partner closely with the Ambassador/Influencer team; influencer their seasonal plans to ensure strong content, and help elevate consumer brand perception by partnering with creators to create content for paid campaigns and brand organic usage.

  • Events & Partnerships: Develop social-first plans for community events and brand partnerships, developing briefs and shot lists for in-house content creator to capture social content for all social platforms including photo and video.

  • Channel Expansion: Collaborate with the team to create an evolving strategy for Sakara’s TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn channels.

  • KPIs: Set and analyze key performance indicators for social campaigns, measuring performance against targets for shares and likes. Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on key performance indicators and campaign success.

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of social media experience at a lifestyle, beauty, fashion or wellness brand or with a creator account.

  • Deep understanding of TikTok's algorithm, trends, and best practices for optimizing content performance.

  • Exceptional creative and storytelling skills with the ability to produce visually appealing and engaging content.

  • Ability to work in high-level content strategy and hands-on production tasks with extreme attention to detail

  • Proven track record of developing compelling social marketing campaigns and content

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Passion for health and well-being, aligned with Sakara's mission

  • Solutions oriented with an active sense of urgency

  • Mastery of priority social, commerce and measurement platforms/tools, including Dash Hudson, Tribe, Google Analytics, and Shopify

  • Experience working with influencers or creators. Experience creating content or comfort speaking to camera is not required but is a bonus

    This full-time role is based at our NYC Headquarters in Soho. We currently operate under a hybrid model where you will be required to work in person 3 days during the week.

    The compensation salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 annually.
