Hudson Yards is currently looking for an Onboarding Specialist who will support our frontline staff and management team with a focus on prioritizing the employee experience. This position will assist with pre-hire communications, coordinating interviews, welcoming staff and assisting with first day orientation along with other various administrative support tasks.


  • Ensure we are operationalizing our core values by taking our ideals and ensuring they are built into processes

  • Maintain a thoughtful onboarding approach for all employees

  • Support management with coordination of interview schedules and first day orientations

  • Conduct first day orientations

  • Liaise with HR team and IT helpdesk to assist new employees with account access

  • Coordinate with Scheduling Coordinator to ensure all new hires are processed

  • Process all off-boarding tasks for all Operations employees

  • Assist the Operations management with procurement of supplies

  • Analyze staffing attrition rates for management team

  • Coordinate all in-person company experiences, quarterly meetings, and any all-staff activities

  • Other projects as assigned.

  • High school diploma required. College graduate preferred.

  • General knowledge of the Attractions Industry a plus.

  • Quickly grasps new concepts and ideas and the willingness to learn new technologies.

  • Ability to work productively on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word & Excel.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with quality and quick responsiveness to your team.

  • Proven strong organizational skills including logistics, time management and scheduling.

  • Must be a people person who can manage with confidence, maintain policy/protocol and confidentiality at all times.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and meet Hudson Yards grooming guidelines

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, both written and verbal. Must possess the ability to exercise good judgement in ambiguous circumstances.

  • Strong self-motivation and drive with demonstrable initiative
