JPMorgan Chase Product Controller in New York, New York

Working within the SGO F&BM team, the candidate must be comfortable with a rapidly changing and growing business environment. There are many processes to be built and developed and there is an opportunity to grow within the team. The business is very inclusive, forward thinking and you would be part of daily stand ups with the London team and true partners to the organization. The successful applicant will be part of a new SGO P&A team in New York supporting the business and the overall global corporate organization.

Job Responsibilities

The P&A function oversees the strategic financial management for the business and is responsible for providing a forwarding looking end-to-end view on all financial metrics and resources including headcount, P&L and balance sheet. F&BM operates as an agile and cross-functional area and the successful candidate will be required to flex their skill set to support the wider teams as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of quarterly earnings prep, Investor Day prep, Jamie business review presentations and OC offsites for senior management. Ability to summarize large data sets and present to senior management in an articulate manner.

  • Lead the production and reporting of monthly outlook / annual budget process for P&L, balance sheet and headcount across all SGO businesses at a legal entity level.

  • Partnering with the business/strategy on ad-hoc financial modelling to support the development and cost-benefit analyses of new business ideas

  • Partnering with Strategy / Data and business leads to improve their oversight on financial drivers / OKRs

  • Lead deep dive analysis on our financials and assist the team on improving our outlook / planning processes.

  • Support the wider firmwide teams (e.g. Corporate P&A, LEC) on all queries relating to SGO financial performance.

  • Production and analysis of baseline and stressed forecasts for regulatory submissions including ICAAP, ILAAP & CCAR.

F&BM operates as an agile and cross-functional area and the successful candidate will be required to flex their skill set to support the wider teams as required.

Personal skills and qualifications:

  • Strong communication & presentation skills particularly PowerPoint, with previous experience preparing and presenting to senior management.

  • Self-starter who can work in a fast paced, results orientated driven environment.

  • Demonstrate reasonable analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendations.

  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and auditable record keeping.

  • Experience of leading and developing junior members of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel (Pivot table and vlookup), Outlook, Word and Powerpoint

  • Experience of VBA development or any Anaplan knowledge would be an advantage or other Firmwide reporting tools / Dashboards (Alteryx and Tableau)
