An opportunity to join HSBC’s Quantitative Investment Solutions (QIS) Sales Team focusing on the sale of QIS to a variety of North American institutional clients including Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Pensions, and Endowments. This individual will report to the Global Head of QIS Sales in New York and work closely with the QIS Sales Teams, EQD Trading Teams, and EQD Structuring Teams around the globe to drive client and revenue expansion. The right person for this role will have experience in EQD solutions sales, strong technical skills, and possess an understanding of QIS, flow, and lite exotic EQD products.

As our Quantitative Investment Solutions (QIS) Associate Director you will:

  • Create, maintain, industrialize, and standardize sales processes specific to equity derivatives and the QIS business

  • Perform varied financial and non-financial analysis, for example:

  • Modelling of market risk factors

  • Simulation of market variables, and back testing of products and strategies, and other similar analyses

  • Analyze market data and financial statements to extract relevant themes for clients

  • Benchmarking risk management practices

  • Develop tools and analyses which can be leveraged for a wide scope of client discussions

  • Synthesize market observations and research into relevant themes for clients

  • Prepare client marketing materials including, presentations and client briefing notes

  • Serve as a key point of contact between trading and structuring for the equity derivatives sales businesses

  • Collaborate, innovate and educate partners and colleagues within and outside of MSS

  • Adhere to global standards for behavior, communication, coordination, performance

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $175,000 and $200,000.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Qualifications

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher and 4 years of experience in the financial services industry

  • Experience in covering North American Institutional clients for EQD solutions

  • Familiarity with QIS and other EQD products

  • Knowledge of delta-1, lite exotic, and volatility products is a plus

  • An understanding of systematic strategies and cross-asset derivatives is a plus

  • Candidates must be high energy, be motivated to take initiative and ownership of projects, and multitask in a fast-paced trading desk environment, ability to travel

  • Strong knowledge of Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses are required for the role, but can be obtained after joining the team
