VETERANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY Responsibilities: - Working with staff and residents gather information on resident interests and need related to activities. - Design comprehensive program of social, educational, recreational and spiritual activities. - Identify community resources that can enhance residents programs. - Foster participation of residents in activities and event in the larger community. - Foster the planning and running of birthday and holidays celebrations. - Facilitate and/or lead group activities. - Provide individual services to residents as needed. - Facilitate trips and outings. - Responsible for providing a monthly activity calendar and posting it in the facility. - Outreach to residents to acquaint them with all activities and encourage their participation. - Complete all required documentation accurately and on time. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred higher education. - Experience in recreation and/or activities. - Fluency, oral and written in Spanish required. - Able to speak, read, and write English. - At least 18 years of age.
