Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, Devices & Services in Seattle, Washington

Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of the Devices Offline Sales & Marketing Finance team. This role will have heavy impact and high visibility to essential, business-critical processes, and will require interactions with Directors and VPs within the Devices Business and Finance.

The successful candidate will have experience influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self starter with strong financial modeling skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Key job responsibilities

  • Supporting Offline Sales Discounts and Fixed Market Development Funds

  • Presenting financial summaries and business insights to senior management

  • Developing scalable and efficient financial processes that support the business

  • Deriving meaningful insights and recommendations from large data sets

  • Tracking initiatives that span multiple business functions

  • Leading ad hoc financial analyses and supporting the financial planning process

  • Coordinating and supporting planning and month-end close processes

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
