Citigroup Sr Business Associate - C13 - NEW YORK in New York, New York
The Business Vice President for the Technology & Communications Investment Banking (IB) Business Execution Group is a senior level position that will be responsible for supporting the overall activities of the business based out of Citi’s San Francisco and New York offices, as well as engaging with leadership of the sector teams in Europe and Asia. The Business Vice President may coordinate and manage activities such as the tracking of business performance and productivity measures, revenue and expense management, talent management, client administration, and other administrative needs and ad hoc projects as necessary. In addition, tasks may include supporting the Business Execution Lead on managing compliance, external audits, business continuity activities and/or addressing regulatory matters. More specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Implementing and coordinating group strategic initiatives
Support in the planning and execution of franchise client events, including annual CEO summit
Manage client target market and conduct market share analysis
Conduct revenue analysis, manage and prepare expense budgets, and provide reporting on key performance metrics
Preparing group presentation materials for internal and external constituents
Oversight of talent management initiatives, junior banker performance calibration, recruiting processes, and headcount planning
Communication to Senior IB management, including preparation of quarterly and annual business reviews
Close coordination with Business Execution groups of Tech & Comms Corporate and Commercial Banking, as well as those of other sector groups on client targeting initiatives with cross-sector relevance
Execute expense management activities including review of staff T&E expense
Manage, drive and optimize reporting and operating processes to efficiently support the business
Day-to-day support of the group in New York, including floorplan management
Monitor strict adherence to governance and ensure risks are addressed, setting high standards of professionalism across all functions
Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience
Self-starter, motivated, eager to learn
Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts, functional and technical knowledge
Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Track record of communication and engagement with senior management
Consistently detail-oriented, goal-oriented and able to work in a team
Proven strategic planning, financial reporting and presentation skills
Consistently develop and maintain effective work relationships
Proven ability to conduct research/analysis and organize findings
Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
Strong understanding of Investment Banking and broader financial services industry
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
