Candidates will need to be capable of rising to a variety of challenges while juggling multiple components of a fast-paced environment. Candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation, will be preferred for this Staff Accountant position. You'll be interested in this position if you want to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Key responsibilities

• Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

• Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

• Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

• In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

• Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

• Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

• Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

• Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting Requirements - Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

• Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Month end closings experience

• Foundational knowledge in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred

• Accruals experience

• Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Skilled with ERP systems

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

• 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
