Job SummaryCandidate will work at the Sergievsky Center in a study of memory, aging and Alzheimer's disease. They will conduct in-person standard interviews of study participants at home and at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and assist project coordinator with the Brain Donation program.ResponsibilitiesThey will administer standardized interviews of medical and family history, measures of every-day functioning, and cognitive tests and assist in the recruitment and outreach of community elder residents. In addition, assist Project Coordinator with duties related to the brain donation program. They will assess capacity to consent and obtain informed consent in a minimal risk study of human subjects following Institutional Review Board policies and regulations. Other responsibilities will include and are not limited to data entry, scoring, organizing, filing, data cleaning, photocopying materials, collecting and preparing biological samples and escorting participants to/from CUIMC and their home if necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.This work will take place under the supervision of the research project coordinator and the study investigators. Minimum RequirementBachelor's degree in specific research field and 4 years experience preferredQualifications1. Experience working in a research setting.2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.3. Fluency in Spanish and English.4. Phlebotomy experience and/or certification.Preferred Qualifications (if any)1. Working with older adults is highly desirable.2. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.3.
