Morgan Stanley Sustainable Solutions Collaborative Analyst in New York, New York

Morgan Stanley's Global Sustainability Office (GSO) drives the firm's sustainability strategy through thought leadership and innovation. GSO provides oversight of sustainability initiatives and works to ensure consistent integration of sustainability considerations across our corporate policies, business activities and operations. GSO partners closely with colleagues throughout our three business segments, as well as support services and risk and control functions.

The Role: The Sustainable Solutions Collaborative Analyst will work as part of the Institute for Sustainable Investing team and primarily support the work of the Morgan Stanley Sustainable Solutions Collaborative. The Collaborative, launched in 2020, aims to identify breakthrough innovations that address complex global sustainability issues. Each year five winning organizations from across the world are selected to take part in a bespoke yearlong strategic collaboration with the Institute. This engagement allows them to tap into the full range of the Firm's expertise, networks and resources to help them achieve scale and increase the impact of their initiatives. The right person for this role will have an understanding of sustainability and be passionate about supporting early-stage founders and organizations.

Select Responsibilities: -Support Collaborative leads as they work with early-stage companies and organizations. -Conduct research on a wide range of sustainable industries, companies, solutions and trends. -Prepare summary materials and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders. -Help with planning and execution of key Collaborative program initiatives. -With support, develop and execute marketing and communications plans.

-Experience in business, finance, sustainability and/or related fields, evidenced by a relevant degree, appropriate industry qualification and/or relevant work experience (0-2 years). -Working knowledge and strong interest in issues related to sustainability and climate change, and their intersection with the financial services industry. -Strong research capabilities with the ability to prioritize and analyze information that is both quantitative and qualitative in nature. -Excellent writing, communication and project management skills. -A proactive and strategic approach to work with a positive attitude. -Thrive in a team-based environment with multiple stakeholders. -Comfortable balancing multiple priorities with support from senior team members -Detail-oriented with strong presentation skills. -Proficiency with basic Microsoft office software, (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and ideally experience with drafting high-quality PPT presentation slides.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $68,000 and $90,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
