Job Description

A global financial services firm is looking for two Senior Data Engineers to join the Data Solutions team local to Manchester. These positions are crucial to a multiyear initiative tied to a modernization effort of the company's largest revenue generating databases. The team is working with existing legacy pipeline built in C# and .NET and they hope to leverage AWS and cloud native services involving big data and Graph Databases. Your primary responsibilities will include working with SQL, (Java or Python) for data remediation, working alongside DevOps and QA Engineers to work through any bugs in the code. Must be proficient with SQL to work with data for ingestion, validation, computation, and distribution. Finally you should have prior experience working with AWS Glue, EMR and be comfortable with full api lifecycle

Skills and Requirements

-7+ years professional experience as a software engineer

-Highly proficient with SQL and (Python and/or Java) for serverless architecture in AWS

-Hands on with GraphDB, NoSQL and Document Databases.

-Experience with Data practices and technologies including data lake, data warehousing, data integration patterns (ETL, services, messaging),

-Experience with full api lifecycle management with tools like(, AWS API, Gateway)

-Experience working with Agile methodologies

-Experience with service-based architectures, such as microservices.

-BS or Higher in Computer Science or related technical field required. null
