The role holder leads the team of Liquidity & Investment product managers and is responsible for product management discipline in North America and has oversight in Latin America. Is responsible to oversee and manage the risks associated with the product area and must operate within the Product Life Cycle framework and have strong commercial acumen.

As our US Head of Liquidity & Investments Solutions you will:

  • Responsible for the Liquidity products and services, including deposit and investment products, and for developing and managing the Liquidity products

  • Ensure that the products meet the operational, legal, credit, settlement risk, compliance and audit requirements as well as local regulations, HSBC Group policies and internal procedures

  • Be the key GPS Liquidity liaison with internal stakeholders e.g. Treasury, Finance and interface with senior managers of Treasury and GPS in various GPS Liabilities and Treasury aspects

  • Present to forums including ALCO, governance committees and regulatory engagement

  • Responsible in management of various aspects of our regional Balance Sheet (i.e. Balances, NII, Betas, Portfolio composition) by providing region leads with guidance through Balance forecasting and annual planning cycle

  • Attract, develop and retain a market-leading Liquidity management team, manage succession for key roles using internal and selective hires where appropriate

  • Act as an ambassador for the team and contribute fully to its development, effectiveness and success. Championing respect and fairness in dealings with others, enhancing the brand of HSBC, and Championing HSBC’s values and culture

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $198,800.00 and $298,100.00.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Qualifications

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Strong understanding of transaction banking practises and balance sheet management

  • Strong understanding of Liquidity Management strategies, structures, products & services - specifically exposure to liquidity management and investment products

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences, experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered

  • Experience in designing & delivering presentations to internal and external audiences

  • Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. client facing banking functions such as corporate banking relationship management or sales

  • Build effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same

  • Experience of building and managing complex relationships with significant customers

  • A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service

  • Fluency in English is expected, other languages beneficial

  • Strong and effective stakeholder management skills

  • Commercial Awareness
