We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.Role / Responsibilities:As the Lead Compensation Consultant for the Moody's Analytics business unit, you will leverage your expertise in compensation to align our business strategy with a competitive and equitable compensation philosophy. You will advise on policy, lead job architecture initiatives, conduct global compensation benchmarking, and manage the business unit annual compensation planning process. Your role will also involve educating teams, conducting complex analyses, and providing consultative support on compensation matters, requiring strong communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills.* Consult and advise senior management and the People Team on compensation policy, senior hires, and promotions, market analysis, and other compensation projects.* Lead firm-wide job architecture initiatives.* Recommend and implement changes to current practices based on market trends and best practices.* Lead the business unit support for the global annual compensation planning process, including salary increases, bonus payouts, and equity plans.* Educate the People Team and managers on compensation programs and processes.* Conduct global compensation benchmarking analysis and provide strategic compensation recommendations to senior management.* Reconcile compensation program expenses with Corporate Planning.* Conduct complex analyses for a range of ad hoc compensation projects.* Provide consultative support to the sales compensation team, ensuring alignment with Moody's compensation philosophy.Qualifications:* Degree or tertiary qualifications in a related discipline* 10 years of experience in compensation* Proven track record in designing and implementing compensation structures across multiple geographies* Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities* Exceptional communication skills - both oral and written* Previous experience leading and implementing projects globally* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to comfortably interact with people at all levels of the organization* High degree of integrity and confidentiality* Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines* Excellent critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills* Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint* Experience within the global financial services and/or technology sectors* Familiarity with sales compensation governance and strategy (preferable for SAS products)* Familiarity with the SuccessFactors platform is preferredFor US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $141,000 - $232,100, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
