Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Specialist for a contract-to-permanent opening with a growing manufacturing company in Clifton, NJ. As an Accounting Specialist you will support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions as well as ad-hoc projects for the accounting department.

Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, and vendor communication. Handle accounts receivable duties such as invoice generation, payment collection, and reconciliation of customer accounts. Process payroll for employees, including salary adjustments, deductions, benefits, and tax calculations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records by documenting financial transactions and verifying the validity and accuracy of each transaction. Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting policies and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to improve financial procedures and workflows. Respond to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data. Provide assistance with audits, tax preparations, and other financial projects as needed. Requirements Demonstrable proficiency in ERP Software Systems Prior Experience in SAP and ADP preferred 3-5 years of experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Knowledge of standard Billing Functions Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
