External Job Description:

Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures. Conducts software inspection, testing, verification and validation. Implements software development and maintenance processes and methods. Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives. Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract. Reviews software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.

Site reliability engineers will be dedicated full-time managing the reliability of systems in all environments, fixing issues, responding to incidents, taking on-call responsibilities, managing code deployment, engineer and deploy solutions ( Support enhancing and/or mandated) in the PLM support area. The top technical skills for the role include automation, logging, monitoring, observability, infrastructure configuration, scripting languages, and application and network protocols. The role should work closely with the development teams to focus upon improving reliability and maintainability of production systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

•\tHands-on system and application administration, maintenance, and monitoring.

•\tCreate and revise existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

•\tWork within the overall technical architecture and strategy for Siemens PLM products managed and being supported by NNS.

•\tPreparing technical solution and administration documents, artifacts, work products and presentations for the customer.

•\tContribute to the overall planning of projects by recommending approaches, identifying resources, and developing timelines.

•\t Leverage lifecycle implementation experience to anticipate changes required in project plans and processes.

•\tEffectively communicate issues and alternative solutions.

•\tTakes initiative to achieve valued-added results and improve upon solutions offered.

•\tDevelop and foster collaborative working relationships with the customer, project managers and team members.

•\tInteracts with junior and mid-level personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

•\tAnalyze system and audit logs and identify potential issues

•\tProvide 24x7 security application support

•\tCoordinate and implement application patches, upgrades, and configuration changes

•\tSystem performance monitoring and tuning

•\tEnsure reliable implementation of applications

•\tAutomate test plans and cases

•\tGovern the movement of code between staging environments (dev/tst/prd)

•\tReal-time monitoring system (uptime, load time, API calls, process threads, memory, database etc.)

•\tTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to environment, infrastructure, deployment, efficiency
