Telespazio Belgium Radio Navigation Engineer in Noordwijk-Binnen, Netherlands

On behalf of the European Space Agency, we are looking for a highly skilled Radio Navigation Engineer to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.
What is expected from you:
Support navigation projects, including the definition, design, development and testing of PNT systems (Galileo, LEO-PNT, 5G NTN), signal-in-space, receivers, end-to-end performance, authentication, etc., based on project priorities.
Support Moon, Mars and Solar navigation activities (both project support and internal activities at TEC-SEN), based on project priorities.
Support space receiver activities (both project support and internal activities at TEC-SEN), based on project priorities.
Design and develop corresponding SW tools required for simulation and performance assessment, including maintenance in Gitlab when applicable. This includes the upgrade and maintenance of existing SW tools in TEC-SEN.
Define and implement corresponding SW/HW tools and setups in the NavLab, execute the tests, and report the technical results, way forward, and conclusions.
Support overall NavLab activities based on TEC-SEN priorities.
Report technical results from all project and internal activities in technical reports, as required by the project and TEC-SEN.
What you offer:
University degree (MSc minimum) in telecommunications, electronic engineering, aerospace engineering or computer science, as well as experience in the following fields.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in GNSS navigation, performance, and signal processing. The PhD will be considered an asset.
Advanced knowledge on the GNSS System and the main receiver processing components such as acquisition, tracking, and positioning algorithms, but also experience with architectures of multi-GNSS receivers, techniques for robust positioning (e.g. using OSNMA), navigation and timing.
Experience in the implementation, maintenance and operation of complex Radio Navigation processing, simulation and test facilities for spacecraft, aircraft, maritime and land mobile applications.
Experience on software development using MATLAB, Python, C++.
Candidates must be eligible for security clearance from their national security administration.

Where:
You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency's offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium. We don't expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to the Netherlands for this position.
