Norristown State Hospital is seeking a Clerical Assistant 3 to provide the full scope of timekeeping duties. In this role, you will support staff working across three shifts in a 24/7 facility which manages civil and forensic operations, with both union and non-union covered employees. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position is located in the Human Resource Office at Norristown State Hospital and falls under the direction of the Field Human Resource Officer 3.  As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will manage time and attendance duties for assigned hospital staff, to include all three shifts. You will receive time reports from work sites and initiate communication with managers and/or supervisors to obtain missing information and resolve questionable information.  Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are vital within this role.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Work hours may change based on operational needs. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a medical exam. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
