SALARY:                $95,446 - $112,301

ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:

The Manager, BAPMO is responsible for planning, executing, and assigning projects, across all operating divisions of the company, that align with the developed corporate business plan. This position facilitates continuous improvement events to support cultural change through business process and analysis activities. The Manager will train, coach and motivate employees in the use and implementation of best practices which align with business planning, project management, business analysis, continuous improvement and risk management standards. 

MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Support the development and implement intake process to ensure strategic alignment and inform decision-making, monitoring, sustainment, and evaluation

•    Review, prioritize, and assign projects and activities to direct reports through project pipeline

•    Respond to service requests submitted by internal customer base to initiate new projects or activities

•    Actively monitor and control all active major/minor projects 

•    Update department kanban board to communicate activities assigned across all operating divisions

•    Conduct 1:1 feedback sessions with direct reports to ensure support and that project life cycles align with approved charter and objectives

•    Maintain department tools and templates to ensure consistent and standard project management documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete

•    Provide regular reports, including status, trend analysis, dependencies, and action required 

•    Facilitate the flow of communication within the team, by actively participating in weekly team meetings to review current assignments and activities

•    Mentor and coach employees on continuous improvement tools and benefits, as well as risk mitigation and assist with project constraints affecting scope, schedule, cost or quality

•    Establish and maintain the BAPMO stakeholder management plan and communication framework

•    Share lessons learned and best practices across projects, building relationships with stakeholders and brokering relationships at all levels

•    Act as a reference point for BAPMO queries and information and an advocate for best practices in project management

•    Ensure familiarity and compliance with all company issued policies and procedures

•    Ensure all employee time and job code information is accurate for weekly payroll submissions

•    Track, approve, and monitor monthly operating budget

•    Monitor project expenses to ensure achievement of cost efficiency and vendor management

REQUIREMENTS:

•    University Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields

•    Post Diploma/ Graduate Certificate in Project Management

•    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required

•    Minimum 5 years experience in Project Management, Change Management, Leadership, Continuous Improvement and Business Process Analysis

•    Outstanding leadership experience and skills, including the ability to lead, manage and mentor a cross-functional, interdependent team of professionals 

•    Certification and experience in PRINCE2, PROSCI, Quality Management and/or Risk Management is preferred

•    Proven experience with various project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, hybrid)

•    Strategic planning and business planning experience

•    Formal training and experience in Lean SixSigma (minimum of Green Belt, Black Belt preferred) an asset

•    Experience with Business Analysis Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and related tools such as Microsoft Visio/Mind Map, and other software such as MS Office Suite

•    Ability to work effectively and efficiently as a team member in a fast-paced environment in stressful situations

•    Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills

•    Advanced understanding of modern technology systems, hardware, apps, solutions, etc

•    Above average written and presentation skills and ability to adapt to different audiences

•    Ability to set priorities, manage competing demands, demonstrate sound judgment and strong problem resolution skills

•    Experience working closely with senior level executives and multiple stakeholders

•    Proficiency in training and development of materials

•    Commitment to health and safety

•    Valid drivers license
