Aerotek Maintenance Technician in North Chesterfield, Virginia

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be diagnosing and troubleshooting basic electrical and mechanical problems with machinery and equipment. Your tasks will include performing basic repairs using general maintenance techniques, tools, and skills. You will also perform preventative and predictive maintenance functions including lubricating, aligning, adjusting, and cleaning. Your role will require basic welding for the repair and fabrication of mechanical equipment. You will also work on electrical, hydraulic, PLC, combustion, and pneumatic systems. Reading and understanding schematics/blueprints is a crucial part of your job. This multi-task job function includes assisting mechanics and operators as necessary and monitoring the condition of equipment, making maximum use of planned outages.

Hard Skills

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in North Chesterfield, Virginia.

Work Environment

There are two shifts: 3 pm to 11 pm or 11 pm to 7 am. It is required to be able to train on day shift for around 6 months. The schedule is Monday-Friday but often includes overtime on Saturday/Sunday. The work environment can be described as heavy industrial.
