Position Summary

The Training Specialist will be responsible for supporting our Fulfillment and Supply Chain business unit. This role will be accountable for the training of Mom’s Meals distribution and fulfillment center team members.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

  • Identify skill or knowledge gaps among our employee population and develops training content in response to identified training needs; this may be in areas of process, machinery or other technical products

  • Select training tools or training delivery mechanisms based on the material being taught and the audience being targeted

  • Monitor assigned training activities and assists in the completion of needs assessment, development and delivery of courses, evaluation activities, and preparation of course and classroom materials

  • Assist in the assessment of current training programs in fulfillment and distribution centers

  • Participate in the development of a consistent and comprehensive program for new hire associates

  • Perform observations to ensure associates are following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure consistency and accuracy

  • Work closely with facility leadership along with Human Resources to ensure training needs are met

  • Facilitate new hire training as needed

  • Report on internal users participating in training

  • Contribute to the content in the departmental knowledge base

  • Maintain all material approvals for the purpose of audit

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of relative experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional and ethical manner

  • Ability to speak in front of associate groups

  • Excellent problem solving and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Must be customer focused and able to react to changing priorities on short notice

  • Must be proficient in MS Office

  • Ability to plan, multitask, and manage time effectively

  • Travel is 10% (to other company locations)

  • There may be occasional training needs that occur during regular daytime work hours

  • 1 or more year of facilitation experience

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience in fulfillment and/or production environment

Physical Requirements

  • Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods

  • Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
