DETAILERS TRAINING & SERVICE Car Wash Maintenance Mechanic in NORTH PEKIN, Illinois

Monday through Friday 7AM to 5PM. This position requires servicing Broadway Equipment Car Washes thoughout Central Illinois. You must have a valid Illinois Drivers License for this position. Responsibilites include Inspecting, Diagnosing, ordering parts, removing damaged/broken car wash parts including drive motors, cloths, hydraulic lines, water lines, spot free water systems, filters, and any other car wash related repairs. Must have mechanical ability and aptitude for confidently making repairs. Responsible for checking and filling car wash soap in 55 gallon barrels at customer locations. Must be able to independently evaluate, recommend, repair, replace parts of spot free water systems including charcoal filters, adding salt, replacing membrane filters, water lines, switches, wiring. Must inspect for leaks in the system and ensure repairs are adequate. Must be confident using hand tools including ratchets, sockets, impact guns, hammers, pry bars, wire strippers, electrical tape, shrink wrap, wrenches, tape measures. Must have the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and have the ability to climb a ladder when needed. Mechanical aptitude is required! You must be comfortable working in occasional damp or wet environements when making repairs. You must have the ability to drive a company vehicle safely to customer locations up to 250 miles round trip. This is NOT a desk job. This is NOT a remote job! You are expected to show up for work on time and give at least 8 hours notice if you cannot make it to work due to injury or illness. You are responsible for repairing carpet extractors, tornador carpet cleaning devices, and helping with warehouse duties when asked. This can include unloading boxes, car wash chemicals, and stocking your company vehicle. You are expected to keep your company vehicle clean and organized. You must be competant with the basic functions of a computer to create a customer invoice. Bending, stooping, reaching, sitting, standing, climbing are required for this job.
