Job Description: About the Role: The Estimator position will assess the cost of a printing job as well as different proposals for projects. What You'll Do: Analyzes quotations, selects, or recommends suppliers and schedules deliveries. Supervises preparation of orders and follows up to expedite delivery and shipment. Obtains delivery certifications and conducts check against order. Checks and approves invoices for orders placed. Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operations. Prepares cost estimates and price quotations on new work and project continuations. Collects information for proper quotations from other functions as appropriate. Prepares cost and work completion estimates for projects. Compiles itemized materials and lists from blueprints and specifications. Itemizes equipment to be produced by the organization or to be purchased from outside sources. Computes cost estimates of raw materials purchased equipment or subcontracted work or labor. Computes profit percentages and adds to cost estimates to obtain price. Consults with engineering function on cost problems.
