As a member of the Steam Power Americas Finance team, you will be an active contributor to the strategic management of a P&L within the business and responsible for the financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This role will require you to partner with Service Directors, Project Managers, and other functions to drive transparency of financial statements across the portfolio with speed and frequency; enabling operational focus and decision making.

You will be an indispensable Finance & Operational team member, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to communicate across functions and different levels of the organization, and a demonstrated ability to lead projects.

Job Description

Your Role:

  • Act as the operational finance leader for a portfolio of Steam Power service projects

  • Partner with the Operations teams to deliver accurate and timely financial planning, analysis, and reporting throughout project execution and the warranty phase

  • Support planning, budget, forecast, and close cycles

  • Responsible for the P&L, balance sheet, and FCF of assigned portfolio

  • Coordinate across commercial and operational functions, finance, and global operations to properly maintain the financial statements for assigned portfolio

  • Demonstrate proactive predictable financial management that enables insightful and actionable reporting

  • Ensure project accounting is in accordance with Company policy

  • Manage the handover process between the Commercial Team and the Operations Team, allowing for appropriate project creation in the ERP and seamless transition to the execution phase

  • Own project creation and maintenance throughout the project lifecycle in the ERP

  • Lead the monthly closing activities; proactively identifying areas of opportunity to implement Lean techniques and tools

  • Lead the preparation and presentation of project financials through the Project Management Review process

  • Drive working capital visibility

  • Partner across the finance community and with other functions to support the implementation of strategic initiatives/priorities, linking to operational/business value streams, and facilitating simplification/LEAN

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with SAP

  • Demonstrated ability in solving process related problems and transforming process

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Established project management skills
