Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Financial Analyst in NORWAY, Iowa, United States. The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating all revenue accounting operational functions, including the oversight of accounts payable, journal entries, and general accounting. This position requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct, and coordinate all revenue accounting operational functions.

• Establish, monitor, and enforce accounting policies and procedures.

• Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.

• Assist with the month-end and year-end close process, including preparing information for any financial audits.

• Prepare financial reporting and analysis for the business, including any information in regards to variances.

• Develop and monitor business performance metrics.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and processes to efficiently provide timely and accurate information.

• Serve as the main point of contact for the business as it relates to expense reporting and processes.

• Strive to reduce waste and recycle products whenever possible, re-use resources when practical.

• Work safely at all times, follow safety rules and policies, participate in scheduled training, report injuries and near misses promptly, and propose corrective action.

• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyze financial statements.

• Experience in handling financial audits, financial analysis, and financial management tasks.

• Proficient in handling month-end close, year-end closings, and financial close process.

• Capability to conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and annual financial reporting.

• Should possess knowledge of financial consolidation and understanding of financial loss.

• Ability to prepare and review expense reports.

• Experience in performance measurement and ability to provide insights based on analysis.

• Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to handle complex data.

• Experience with financial software and advanced MS Excel skills is a plus.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.

• Relevant certification such as CFA, CPA, or similar is advantageous.
