What’s the role?

Medium Rare Content Agency (MRCA) is looking for a highly skilled Digital Strategist to join their growing Coles Content team.

An exciting new role, the Digital Strategist role will bring a deep well of experience in SEO and a focus on providing the foundations for all search-based content. MRCA creates a suite of performance content across multiple channels and the Digital Strategist will play a key role in building day-to-day, campaign and future state recommendations.

The core focus for the Digital Strategist is to work with the strategy and insights team to deliver on high level KPIs and goals, while providing data and insights to enhance Coles’ online presence, drive engagement, and optimize search visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and implement cohesive SEO content recommendations.

  • Conduct thorough research to identify relevant keywords and trends in the industry for effective content planning.

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align content strategies with marketing, SEO, and social media initiatives.

  • Work on ongoing optimisation projects to make recommendations for how the Coles digital content offering can grow and continue to deliver against digital KPIs.

  • Create high-quality, SEO-optimized content for the web, YouTube, and search-based social platforms.

  • Leverage keyword research to produce content that resonates with our target audience and improves search rankings.

  • Stay updated on search engine algorithms and optimisations to adapt and inform content strategies accordingly.

  • Actively drive the best practice SEO functionality.

Who are you?

  • You have 5-7 years of relevant Insights experience and have worked at a senior level in strategy.

  • You are passionate about uncovering, analysing and delivering top notch SEO driven strategic recommendations for content executions.

  • You’re a strong communicator who can synthesize and articulate detailed recommendations.

  • You’re comfortable working closely with content creators and clients alike.

  • You manage your own workload in order to complete all tasks with maximum efficiency and to deadline

  • You adopt a thorough and methodical approach to work

  • You show a high level of attention to detail
