What’s the role?

Medium Rare Content Agency (MRCA) is looking for an Executive Creative Director to join the Coles content team.

Reporting to the Head of Content, the Executive Creative Director will lead a dynamic and diverse team of creatives to drive innovative and impactful visual experiences. This role is pivotal in shaping and enhancing brand identity through magazine production, video creation, social content, and general excellence in artistic direction. The Creative Director will be the Visual Brand custodian for Coles within Medium Rare and be responsible for working with the marketing team at Coles and connected agencies to translate client visions into compelling creative strategies while ensuring the seamless execution of projects across all mediums.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong and cohesive brand identity across all owned channels.

  • Oversee the creation of brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all visual elements across channels

  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and production of magazines, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and aesthetics

  • Lead the charge of updating and refreshing the visual identity of the Food and Lifestyle magazines.

  • Provide creative direction for video projects, from concept development to post-production.

  • Develop and execute creative strategies for social media content creation.

  • Collaborate closely with Coles Brand and marketing team to understand their vision and translate it into compelling creative strategies.

  • Present creative concepts and ideas to clients, incorporating feedback to refine and enhance visual solutions.

  • Lead and inspire a large and diverse team of creatives, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment

  • Provide clear direction, mentorship, and support for the professional growth of team members

  • Oversee project timelines for magazine and video production, ensuring timely delivery.

  • Streamline operational processes for efficiency in creative workflows

  • Drive and adhere to all defined processes

  • Actively look for ways to improve efficiency, outcomes and efficacy

  • Ensure projects and baseline scope is delivered on time and on budget

  • Work closely with the client and finance team to manage baseline and production budgets to drive best outcomes for all

  • You have varied and senior content creation experience.

  • You have managed diverse skill sets

  • You have worked in a client facing role and understand how to deliver on strategic business objectives

  • You exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • You manage your own workload in order to complete all tasks with maximum efficiency and to deadline

  • You adopt a thorough and methodical approach to work

  • You show a high level of attention to detail

  • You take responsibility for own tasks and ensures progress is communicated to appropriate parties, internally and externally

  • You contribute to the success of Medium Rare Content Agency by assisting with ad hoc projects as required

  • You display a genuine intention to work cooperatively with others and offers to help where possible in an effort to achieve common goals
