Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking individuals who can contribute to national security within the project management and business services fields as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. AIS has an established history of contributing to the success of our customer’s mission.

Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance the missions of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction from technical personnel employed directly by the research laboratory. Pay, benefits, Human Resource, and Employment Management functions are provided by AIS.

Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.

  • Provides customer service to internal organizations under the direction and in support of the directorate representative.

  • Coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames.

  • Collects data and prepares on-demand reports and charts.

  • Experience evaluating and analyzing complex projects, identifying issues, and proposing solutions.

  • Interpreting, organizing, and analyzing data from multiple sources.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Organizational, recordkeeping, and coordination skills.

  • Ability to work with multiple levels of management or technical personnel.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communication, or a related field preferred, or 5 years of experience in project support/customer service.

  • Proven experience in customer service or related field, with a strong emphasis on task management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Advanced experience in the use of SharePoint and MS Office Suite.
