Weber State University Dental Hygiene Work Study Position in OGDEN, Utah
Will offer dental screenings,dental radiographs,dental cleanings,periodontal therapy,fluoride treatments,dental sealants,oral health education,therapeutic services and continual maintenance and evaluation of patients oral health.Utilize assessment skills to review health,personal and medical histories,assess risk,periodontal status,establish appropriate treatment plans with required patient signatures,Implement treatment,re-evaluate outcomes of treatment and re-treat if indicated.Assess the oral health of patients using skills learned in the Dental Hygiene Program.Teach dental hygiene concepts at local schools,non-profit organizations and community functions.Referrals to specialists when indicatedActing as a mentor or tutor to fellow students if as a member I have completed my first year of the program
