This is a student employee position in the Ogden campus library.The User Services Assistant serves as the front-line service ambassador for the Stewart Library that helps maintain a safe,welcoming environment for all library users and to assist with access to resources.Position duties include:Maintaining and organizing the collection through special projects and physically locating items for loan for library staff and users.Delivery/pickup services on campus and between the Ogden and the Davis campus libraries.Shelving items,recording use statistics,and inventory of the collection.Providing excellent service at the desks: general information services,the location and availability of items,campus directions,and referrals.Assisting users at the desk,checking in and out items,pulling course reserves and items held for users to pick up,and printing documents.Setting up conference rooms for events and assisting with building opening and closing procedures.Responsible for periodic building safety and security checks and noticing and reporting problems to supervisors.Responsible for opening and closing duties/maintenance as applicable to schedule.Maintain the orderliness of the collection,such as straightening displays.The duties and tasks included are representative of the position and not comprehensive.
