Job Title: Telecom (IC) Field Coordinator
Our client, a leading Fortune 500 technology company, is looking for a Telecom Field Coordinator for a long-term opportunity. Preferred candidates will be located in Indiana or Ohio .

Telecommunication field coordinators (ICs) should have an analytical mindset and be innovative and systematic problem solvers with excellent attention to detail. Telecom field coordinators design or configure voice, video, and data communications systems. ICs are expected to manage installation and post-installation service and maintenance.

Required Knowledge & Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in telecommunications or networking preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the discipline obtained through experience, networking, research, and other means of professional development
Knowledge and experience of telecommunication technologies and equipment
Experience with telecom site survey execution with a high attention to detail
Demonstrable knowledge of fiber optics.
Knowledge of power (AC and DC) and Data Networking technologies
Knowledge of power cable types (Examples: L6-20/NEMA515)
Familiarity with telecommunication cabling standards, ability to pull and terminate cabling in a variety of customer environments preferred
Familiarity with Cisco networking products
Demonstrated experience in Engineering or Utilities
Well-developed understanding of technical standards, adhering to company documentation and regulatory requirements
Strong understanding of the technical aspects of telecommunications networks, including knowledge of equipment, cabling, and infrastructure design.
Working knowledge of networking hardware and topologies
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues; analytical, investigation, and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills to develop effective solutions and overcome obstacles.
Strong understanding Telecoms design
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel & Word)
Ability to follow detailed job documents
Nice to Have/Not Required:
Experience with Telecom networks in an electricity utility environment business
Working understanding of networks, telephony, and VoIP protocols
Demonstrated knowledge of all legislated rules and codes governing the business and industry (NER, SA Electricity Transmission Code, ESCOSA etc.)
Demonstrated experience in microwave radio design and installation, optic fiber systems and Power Line Carrier systems
Specialized training for NERC/CIP sites (e.g. substations) and nuclear sites will occur at some point.
Working knowledge JIRA experience
Travel approximately 50-60% to customer site(s).
Must be willing to travel within assigned region to meet customer SLA’s
On-call, after hours and weekend work may be required
Proper background check a must
