ASRC Federal Holding Company Configuration Management Specialist in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

ASRC Federal System Solutions supports the Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System Engineering Support Services (FAA NAS ESS) contract. Join our growing team as a Configuration Manager in support of the FAA’s AJW-1432 team. The AJW-1432 team provides support for the Surveillance and Broadcast Services System (SBSS).

Responsibilities:

  • Review and distribute service provider Service Change Proposals (SCP).

  • Evaluate SCPs for compliance with FAA policies.

  • Ensure required stakeholders provide response.

  • Communicate with internal and multiple external organizations.

  • Evaluate contractor’s processes and procedures for quality and adequacy.

  • Implement automated processes.

  • Prepare correspondence related to changes required to the NAS systems and services.

  • Maintain Facilities, Systems, and Equipment Profiles (FSEP) records and documentation.

  • Update reporting requirements for NAS systems and services.

  • Perform, administer, and advise on work concerned with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures for establishing baselines and performing a change management process.

  • The work of this discipline involves:

  • Configuration Management (CM) Planning and Management

  • Configuration Identification

  • Configuration Control

  • Configuration Status Accounting

  • Configuration Verification

  • Audit

  • Perform a mixture of routine and multiple and varying assignments under the limited direction.

  • Act as an individual contributor and/or member of a team.

  • May perform some leadership functions for small projects/programs/teams.

  • Apply experience and technical knowledge applicable to plan and accomplish assignments.

  • Plans time and uses assigned resources to accomplish assignments and small projects.

  • Works with other employees, both contract and federal, to share information, provide data and/or written analyses, and discuss the statuses of assignments.

  • Can sometimes make recommendations to improve work processes.

  • Work activities may affect project/program objectives for external organizations.

  • In some areas, the work may affect the safety and security of customers.

Requirements :

US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years .

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • The duties require analytical ability combined with knowledge and application of CM principles and techniques.

Education/Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is desired. An associate’s degree or high school diploma may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, depending on other qualifications and experience.
