Job Title Assistant Director, Athletic Communications
Department Intercollegiate Athletics
Essential Functions
This position serves as the primary communication contact for designated sports:
Some travel for post season and select away games.
Responsible for the production of game notes, statistics maintenance, fostering social media growth and home game management. Responsible for maintaining website pages for assigned sports.
Plan and coordinate media days forUNOsports which includes communication with local news media. Field and coordinate all media requests for assigned sports.
Collaborate with the Athletic Communications and Marketing team to maintain brand standards.

Required Qualifications
Required Education : Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Communications, Journalism, or related field
Required Experience: Two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience
Required Skills – Extensive knowledge of StatCrew software for soccer, basketball, softball and familiarity with additional next generation software. Demonstrate working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and other creative programs. Proficient with website and social media platforms.
