Job Title: Webmethods Developer
Location: Orange County, CA
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining integration solutions using Software AG's WebMethods suite. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable integration solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using WebMethods Integration Server, Universal Messaging, and other related components.
Develop and maintain integration interfaces, including but not limited to RESTful and SOAP web services, flat file processing, JMS messaging, and database connectivity.
Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, test plans, and deployment instructions.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
Troubleshoot and debug integration issues and provide timely resolution.
Implement best practices for coding, version control, and deployment processes.
Stay updated with the latest WebMethods features, tools, and technologies, and propose innovative solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of integration solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Strong experience in designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using WebMethods Integration Server.
Strong understanding of SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) principles and best practices.
Proficiency in web services standards and protocols such as SOAP, REST, WSDL, and XML.
Experience with integration technologies such as JMS, JDBC, and FTP.
Hands-on experience with webMethods Designer, Flow, and Java services development.
Knowledge of webMethods administration tasks including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL queries.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications in WebMethods or related technologies (optional but advantageous).
Experience with Software AG's webMethods BPM (Business Process Management) suite.
Knowledge of webMethods API Gateway and API Management.
Familiarity with cloud integration platforms such as webMethods.io Integration.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
Prior experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, or retail where integration challenges are prevalent.
