This Data Management (DM) position manages a programs' data deliverables, controlled non-deliverables, and supplier receivables, maintaining their integrity through all lifecycle phases from creation through disposal.
Overview:
*The Data Manager, along with the Configuration Manager, ensures that all program-related information is effectively managed, stored, controlled and delivered.
*The Data Management function verifies that all marking, control, storage, reproduction, packing, and delivery requirements are in compliance with contract and/or supplier statement of work requirements, program, and company policies, and also works with the program Contract Administrator to determine proper markings placed on the data (e.g., distribution statement, export-control markings, destruction notices, classification markings, copyright and/or proprietary markings).
*The DM function also includes obtaining access to customer repositories and delivery of the program work products per contractual requirements.
*Data Management establishes tools during the planning stage, to include the program Work Product List and program Data Deliverable/Receivable Schedule.
*Throughout the remainder of the program, these tools require updates and maintenance by the data manager, assisted by the program team to ensure the timely delivery or internal release of program data, and receipt of supplier data.
*The Data Manager also tracks customer responses, reports metrics, and coordinates with CM to ensure work products are archived in a method compliant with company record retention requirements.
Job Description:
The Data Management tasks to be performed include:
Review contracts and Customer Data Requirement List (CDRL) or Supplier Data Requirements List (SDRL) for the submittal requirements
Establish and maintain the data deliverable/receivable schedule
Maintain configuration identification, in coordination with CM
Maintain and communicate data requirements and status
Establish, manage, and control program asset repositories supporting deliverables/receivables
Review work product for compliance to contract/company marking and formatting requirements
Execute the data deliverable/receivable process
Verify, record, and maintain work products from subcontractors and vendors as applicable
Generate and report on Data Management-specific performance metrics
Apply Microsoft Word skills to develop program templates and forms
Participate in and provide data for required audits
Education/Experience:
(2 +BA/BS or 1+MA/MS) or (4 +AA) or (6+No Degree).
Certification(s):
None
Required Experience:
Experience working with DOD contracts, DD Form 1423, and Data Item Descriptions
Experience with automated systems/tools supporting Data Management processes
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including SharePoint
Experience/training related to managing export controlled (ITAR/EAR) work products
Experience applying records management policies and procedures
Clearance:
Secret.
