UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies Project Coordinator/Logistician in Orlando, Florida

Overview

Bowhead is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator/Logistician to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a pivotal link between various aspects of the supply chain and project coordination efforts within the organization. The Project Coordinator/Logistician is responsible for managing logistics operations, coordinating purchasing activities, and supporting project management initiatives, to include ensuring timely procurement of materials, managing inventory levels, coordinating shipments, and facilitating project execution through effective coordination and communication. The role requires a blend of organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills to streamline operations, optimize resources, and contribute to the successful execution of projects within the organization's supply chain.

Responsibilities

Procurement:

• Establish and negotiate pricing and terms with new and existing supply vendors to ensure high-quality and cost-effective materials.

• Work with engineering teams to identify needed materials and supplies for each project.

Receiving and Inspection:

• Oversee the receiving process, verifying the accuracy and quality of delivered materials.

• Work closely with warehouse personnel to ensure proper storage and organization.

Kitting and Packaging:

• Develop efficient kitting processes for assembling network infrastructure components.

• Coordinate with packaging teams to ensure secure and compliant packaging for shipments.

Shipping and Tracking:

• Manage the shipping process, coordinating with carriers to meet delivery deadlines.

• Implement robust tracking systems to monitor the movement of materials throughout the supply chain.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and receipts.

• Prepare documentation for government compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations.

Technical Knowledge:

• Familiarity with Microsoft products and their integration within logistical processes.

Project Coordination:

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including finance, procurement, and technical teams, to ensure alignment and compliance with contract terms and conditions.

• Facilitate regular project meetings, including kick-off meetings, status updates, and project reviews, to ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.

• Manage subcontractors and vendors as necessary, ensuring compliance with subcontract agreements and performance expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Equivalent combination of work experience and skills will be considered.

• Proven experience in logistics, preferably in a government contracting environment.

• Prior experience in logistics, purchasing, or project coordination, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant logistics software.

• Knowledge of supply chain management principles, including inventory management, procurement, and transportation logistics

• Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making processes.

• Proactive problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address potential issues in logistics or project execution.

• Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing priorities and business needs.

• Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain or and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. Candidates with an existing security clearance are preferred. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Secret clearance.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds

• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
