Responsibilities

Included but is not limited to:

  1. Conduct QAQC inspections that fulfil the requirement of the Officer-In-Charge. Inspections shall be for, but are not limited to the following train manufacturing, testing and commissioning activities:

  2. Key Point Inspections (KPI).

  3. Daily Walkthrough Quality Checks.

  4. Routine Test (Static).

  5. Routine Test (Dynamic).

  6. Inspection Quality Criteria (IQC) Management.

  7. Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI).

  8. Sub-Supplier Quality Audits.

  9. Defect/Anomaly Meetings.

  10. Documentation Inspections

  11. Train Delivery Inspections.

  12. Fleetwide Checks.

  13. Report to the Officer-In-Charge before the start and at the end of the working shift;

  14. Report all findings to the Officer-In-Charge daily, or when required;

  15. Generate quality and progress reports that are supplemented with photos;

  16. Follow up on defects management;

  17. Assist in translation if required;

  18. Be involved and provide information in quality management meetings;

  19. Attend pre-shift and post-shift briefings by the Officer-In-Charge;

  20. Provide support in the monitoring of train maintenance, train health, train configuration management and inspection.

Working hours

  • Required to work five (5) slots per week, each lasting nine (9) hours, including a one-hour break.

  • Work slots are scheduled from 0800 to 1700 Hours.

  • Must be available for urgent matters after working hours, as requested by the Officer-In-Charge, with no extra cost to the Authority.

  • Must adhere to the Builder's manufacturing schedule, working on weekends and public holidays if necessary, without additional charges to the Authority.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) or more years of relevant working experience in rolling stock manufacturing, including but not limited to train manufacturing, quality assurance and quality control management. Preference given to those with experience in Automated People Mover (APM) Systems.

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Japanese.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in quality assurance and quality control management specific to rolling stock manufacturing.

  • Solid understanding and experience in manufacturing processes, especially specialized ones such as welding and painting applicable to rolling stock manufacturing.
