Actalent Project Manager in Owosso, Michigan

This engineer will be working within the ceramics group, the projects they have are fairly large so each manager typically has 1 or 2 projects they follow all the way through. This project manager will most likely be in charge of ceramic filter projects, primary make industrial pollution equipment, largest customer: FritoLay.

This person will be the main point of contact for the customer.

Day to day: sales will get the project then the PM will take over and do the PO, review, understand the scope of the project, work with designers for approval on drawings, PID sign offs, create fabrication package, vendor sections, write a req, and work it all the way through installation.

  • Travel is only about 5 times a year- initial visit to customer and maybe some field support touchpoints

  • Yearly increase in pay - performance dependent

  • Bonus depending on how business is going

  • Relaxed atmosphere

  • Privately held company

Hours: 8am-5pm

3 big projects coming in at the end of the month, they will need new headcount

MUST HAVES:

  • project management experience

  • mechanically inclined - (understanding of mechanical components, assembly, piping, conveyor systems for example)

  • customer communication experience

  • works well within Microsoft project and excel

Nice to have:

electrical and/or steel knowledge

degree

industrial experience
