Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Pallavaram Repair Operations Leader, the Engineer - Engineering Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of repair team activities. In this role, the Engineer - Engineering Operations will set the daily and weekly operation schedule, meet day-to-day objectives to drive on time delivery, TAT and lead resolution of issues through collaboration with cross functional teams.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily RMA meeting, communicate updates and provides guidance on open issues to better the time for issue resolution.

  • Schedule and assign repair orders factoring in level of urgency, ensuring timely execution to meet customer expectations & business service level agreement.

  • Manage and drive resolution with support teams (SAP)

  • Update daily reporting & tracking of RMA work orders including advance replacements.

  • Ensure ERP accuracy and up to date – parts debrief.

  • Manage TPV (Third Party Vendor) process.

  • Coordinate with all functions within repair team to ensure timely action on open tasks.

  • Lead actions to uphold EHS & 5S standards on daily basis in the RMA repair areas.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of operating procedures, work instructions ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.

  • Collaborate with the cross functional teams to schedule access to test equipment – balancing between availability and meeting commitments.

  • Support regional & internal teams on customer RMA process, logistics and actions.

  • Monitor and analyze RMA data for failure trends, review, validate and raise to repair leader.

  • Participate in inventory review activities, contribute to strategic planning based on demand.

  • Additionally, Coordinate end-to-end for Relay Spare Sales.

  • Backup to lead in the absence of the repair operations leader.

  • Additional reporting and tasks within repair operations scope.

Qualification / Requirements:

  • BE / Diploma Mechanical or Electrical with min 5 years of similar experience.

  • Ability to manage teams and drive them for desired outcomes.

  • Effective communicator, collaborative.

  • Ability to work effectively on a team and lead by positive example.

  • Independent problem solving and multi-tasking skills.

  • Planning & organizational skills.

  • Previous experience with ERP systems.

  • Proactive & continuous improvement mindset.

  • Nimble and agile decision making.

  • Strong computer skills
