Lockheed Martin Skunk Works Support Services Associate Manager (Level 4) in Palmdale, California

Selected individual will become part of the Production Control Support Services Management team in Palmdale. Individual will be responsible for leading a group of subordinate employees on the Replenishment Center (RCO), Tool Services, Project Tooling and Carpenter Shop teams providing support to all manufacturing areas in Palmdale. Individual must be a self-starter demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to lead and direct subordinates. Candidate must have a strong customer focus, and demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects/customers concurrently. Will utilize MRP (Material Review Processes), SAP, Tableau, CribMaster and Palmdale order location systems. Individual will be responsible for implementing various continuous improvement projects in the organization and assist in monitoring expenses against overhead budgets.

Will attend / chair status meeting advising management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Must have the ability to resolve issues that may arise in the manufacturing process by interfacing with all supporting organization. At times will be required to lead / operate a war room for a specific program. Must be flexible, open minded and capable of managing multiple tasks. Collaborate with Labor Relations and Human Resources to enhance employee engagement.

A level 4 employee Typically has 9 - 15 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

- 4 years of Supervisory or Management experience

- Experience with Shop Floor Control, Production control, Logistics or Inventory Management

- Working knowledge of SAP (MRP) & or equivalent ERP system

- Experience with Tool Control/FOD Control Procedures

- Relevant Information Technology skills, such as data analytics and reporting

Desired Skills:

- Working knowledge in Shop Floor Manager (SFM) and Kitting related to production control disciplines

- Knowledge of Inventory Management systems such as CribMaster

- Strong team building skills and ability to foster customer intimacy

- Experience working in a Union environment

- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

- Must be innovative and pro-active in the area of continuous improvement

- Ability to challenge the status quo, multi-task, and coordinate shortage meetings and drive issues to closure

- Proven effective professional written/oral communication skills.

- Ability to interface with and present to multiple levels of leadership in the organization.

- Experience managing cross functional relationships

- Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers

- Knowledge of MMAS compliance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $86,700 - $166,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $99,800 - $187,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
