Pay Range: $25-$27/hour

The Job: Do you enjoy hands-on tasks such as painting, repairing, and general maintenance? Are you familiar with HVAC troubleshooting and wiring diagrams? If so, come join our fun, motivating team! You will be a key team player in the Facilities Department handling routine building maintenance tasks in areas such as plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

    The Core Duties:

  • Perform a variety of preventative maintenance, building and property repair and improvement projects

  • Perform a variety of facilities requests, including picture hanging, furniture assembly, etc.

  • Under general supervision, perform journey level work in the painting, finishing, and maintaining of a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures

  • Follow established practices regarding handling and disposal of hazardous materials

  • Operate and maintain all utilities systems, generators, and equipment in the facility

  • Complete operating logs, reports, and records required by federal, state, and local agencies as well as those requested by the OFJCC

    The Essentials:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 1 year of trade school or 2 years of related experience in a similar institution

  • Ability to deal with frequent interruptions

  • Ability to identify safety hazards and act accordingly

  • Ability to complete task to the highest standards possible

  • Ability and desire to work independently and as a team member with the community and other employees               

  • Ability to communicate in English effectively (written and oral)

  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership

  • Ability to use working knowledge of working environment to meet established goals and objectives

  • Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environment

  • HVAC experience preferred

  • EPA Certified

  • Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams and troubleshooting
